Serious lyric-related question!
You guys, do the lyrics “Do I get to kiss you/Where you go” make any of you think of kissing a pee-hole? Because I totally go pulled aside by a member of a (reputable) band recently after a set and told that she and her bandmates all seriously thought that’s what I was suggesting. I had never, ever thought about this before. Clearly I don’t mean that, but I have to ask before I record round two of final vocals tomorrow: should I just change the lyrics to “when you go”? I mean, I feel like that makes more sense anyway. I was probably at least kind of drunk when I wrote those lyrics two years ago. What do you think?

Unless it does not fit poetically, I would change it to “Where you are”

I didn’t read it like that until you said it. I say don’t change it - “when you go” is just expected from a lyric.

when you go suggests that… but allen ginsberg once said, first thought best thought. where u go makes it cryptic. kind of.

I would change it dude. I think it would sound a lot better.

I can see their point but I think if you wrote it, there was a reason. If when you go works better for you now, change it.

it never made me think that before, but now that you’ve said it you will have to change it - otherwise it will be all you can thnk about.
